How Do I Prevent Dental Disease?

Prevention should begin with a visit with your veterinarian. No matter how young or old your pet is, they can all benefit from beginning an oral care routine at any stage in their life. For some we may need to begin with a professional cleaning. And for others, it could be the introduction to pet toothpaste.

An assortment of pet products are available at our office, including pet toothpaste (human toothpaste can be harmful to pets), finger brushes, toothbrushes, mouth rinse, dental sealants and dental chew products. If a professional cleaning is necessary, we have an ultrasonic dental unit available. While your pet is made comfortable under general anesthesia a compete dental cleaning will be performed to help make your pet's smile last!
