Staff

Our highly trained and experienced team of health care professionals work hard being attentive, polite and caring. All of our members are pet owners and understand the needs of the people they are serving. Regular meetings and outside continuing education keep our team knowledgeable of services and procedures.


From our friendly reception staff who is ready to greet you upon arrival to the veterinary nurses and doctors who care for your pet, our top priority is the comfort of your pet.


Professional Staff Members

Dr. Gregory S. Svoboda is a graduate of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing here since 1984. He is a member of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association where he serves as Past President, a member of the Harford Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. "Dr. Greg" enjoys sailing and photography when time away from the practice allows and enjoys caring for his own dogs, horses and sheep.


Dr. Mary Schmitt Kablis is a graduate of the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to treating cats and dogs, Dr. Schmitt also cares for rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and other small pocket pets. She is also a member of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, the Harford Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Schmitt has a particular interest in behavior counseling.


Practice Manager

Robbie Svoboda is a graduate of Purdue University, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology, and also a graduate of Towson University, where she obtained her Master's Degree in Secondary Education. Robbie's goal is to ensure that all aspects of the hospital run smoothly. Should you have any recommendations, suggestions or additional questions, please do not hesitate to call and ask for her. Robbie keeps busy tending her flock of sheep, stop by and visit with them and say hi!


Our Reception Team

Danielle joined our team in 1988, and anchors our friendly and efficient reception team. Along with Heather who has eight years of experience, Bonnie and Jessica, all are ready to receive your pet questions and appointment and boarding reservations. They ensure that all of your concerns are addressed from your first contact with our practice throughout the lifetime of your pet.

Our Veterinary Nurses

Nursing care is of utmost concern, ensuring that our patients are comfortable and feel secure while undergoing treatment. Continual observation and monitoring are crucial to ensuring continued medical progress.

Lisa, our team leader who has been with us for nine years has received her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from Essex Community College and completed her Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Towson University. She is assisted by Pam who has received her RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician designation) and is also a graduate of Essex Community College with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology, Jen, Jennifer, Christine, Robin, Karen and Katie . Together they have more than 30 years of experience with our hospital. They are always there to hold a paw and provide their expertise during your pet's stay.
